Change is …

… really quite flooring…

In that, it floors me.

and it always has…

When I was young, ‘change management’ would require a trip to the park, a piecemeal approach to introduction…I was never a ‘boots and all’ change embracer.

And now … no matter how much I try to breathe through – lean in – see change as part of the continuum … breathing, leaning and acknowledging are all forced, tight … worry-inducing …

Change means loss – instability … or rather, the reminder that everything is unstable … that everything can be lost …

It’s the reminder that floors me …

Everything can be lost – everything is unstable  …

And when I see those words there is a realisation – an ‘of course’ … an understanding that this is how it is …

Would it be better to live in a reality of instability rather than a comfortable fairytale  whose final pages can be ripped out?
